About the Committee

The Services committee is primarily concerned with improving the quality of life at Tufts.  We accomplish this goal through initiatives with Reslife, Facilities, Dining Services, and the Office of Campus Life.

Here is a list of the Services committee priorities and current projects for 2011-2012:

  • A cause dinner charity event each semester
  • The Turkey shuttle to Logan Airport and South Station for Thanksgiving and spring breaks
  • Improve public safety on campus through a Safe Rides program
  • Financial literacy workshops for the Tufts Community Union
  • Expand the number of institutions on Jumbocash
  • Improve facilities and residential buildings
  • Create a database for how to live life at Tufts
  • Reintroduce the Boston bus shuttle

Projects & Priorities

Services Committee projects and priorities for the 2010-2011 academic school year included:

  • a Cause Dinner charity event
  • getting more vending machines in dorms and dining halls
  • running a Turkey Shuttle during Thanksgiving to facilitate transport to Logan Airport and South Station
  • creating a system that allows for one password for all Tufts logins
  • making available kosher food in dining halls
